2K Sports has announced that this year's NBA 2K21 will have not one but three cover athletes, and they'll be announced through the very popular social media platform TikTok.

That's right--NBA 2K has launched a TikTok channel. The three cover athletes will be announced over the course of three days: June 30, July 1, and July 2.

NBA 2K's first post on TikTok shows NBA 2K20 cover star Anthony Davis hyping the upcoming announcements. The video already has more than 1 million views. Check it out below.

NBA 2K fans might want to get a TikTok account, as 2K Sports says the channel will be the "go-to hub" for the latest news about NBA 2K21. The channel will also host "exclusive behind-the-scenes content."

NBA 2K21 is coming this fall for PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X. The next-generation versions of the pro basketball game will feature dramatically improved load times and very real-looking sweat.

Another popular annual sports game, Madden NFL 21, will feature Lamar Jackson on its cover. The cover this year is strikingly different, and that's because EA wasn't able to visit Jackson for an in-person photo shoot. It's unclear if other game franchises are similarly affected.
