At the PlayStation 4 launch event in NYC, developer Naughty Dog revealed new DLC content for The Last of Us and announced a new game in the Uncharted franchise for PS4.

The Last of Us DLC will focus on Ellie and is titled "Left Behind." Arne Myer from PlayStation sets the tone for this single-player DLC. "Joining Ellie on this new adventure is Riley, her best friend and also a mentor of sorts at the military boarding school. Just as The Last of Us focused on the bond between Ellie and Joel, Left Behind explores the bond between Ellie and Riley through a series of events that will forever change both of their lives."

There were even fewer details for the next Uncharted title. A short trailer featured a voice that was not Nathan Drake's (though Todd Stashwick was revealed as the voice actor). Developers from the game said if you listen carefully to the trailer's dialogue, you'll find some hints to the game's plot. Here's a transcript (and we'll have the full trailer soon!):

"Some chains can never be broken...lost 15 years...buried alive, erased. You left me, rotting in that hellhole and never looked back. But you can't outrun the past. And when it catches up, when all your lies collapse around you...I'll be there...sifting through the wreckage...You owe me."

Graphically, the developers described the game as "big jump ahead" and the game will "push story-telling and performance capture."

The PS4 will be released in North America in a matter of minutes, but for more on the next-generation system, check out GameSpot's video demonstration on how to install a new hard drive, an in-depth look at the new UI and dashboard, and a general hardware overview.
