Namco Bandai Games Europe will distribute next-generation role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in Europe, CD Projekt Red announced today. Namco also published predecessor The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in Europe.

"We're convinced that they understand our vision for the game and that they will do a great job at letting gamers know how the game's open world and great story are going to change the next-gen RPG landscape," CD Projekt Red Adam Badowski said in a statement.

Specifically, Namco will oversee the European release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Malta, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and United Kingdom.

Warner Bros. will distribute The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in North America.

CD Projekt Red marked the sixth anniversary of the Witcher series last week by announcing the franchise has sold more than 6 million copies to date. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently in development for a simultaneous release in 2014 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
