Namco picks up North American Airblade
The company will bring the hoverboarding game to the US PlayStation 2.
Namco has announced that it has secured the North American publishing rights to the PlayStation 2 hoverboarding game Airblade. Developed by UK-based Criterion Studios, the game features a variety of gameplay modes, including story, score attack, freestyle, training, and a multiplayer mode that supports up to eight players. Aside from the game itself, Airblade on the PS2 will feature DVD bonus material that includes a "making of" video, a character art gallery, and a music player.
Airblade will ship in February 2002 for the North American PS2. The game is already available in Europe and was published in that territory by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
