N64 Dragon Sword Hits Alpha

Interactive Studios' Nintendo 64 action-adventure title hits its alpha stage - but without a publisher, its future remains uncertain.

Interactive Studios has given GameSpot News an update on Dragon Sword, the action-adventure title currently in development for the Nintendo 64. First, the good news: according to the company, Dragon Sword has hit alpha stage (near complete). The bad news: without a publisher, Dragon Sword's future remains uncertain. The game was to be one of the last titles to be released under the MGM Interactive label, but that company has essentially been dissolved. If MGM Interactive fails to find a new publisher for Dragon Sword, the game will never reach store shelves.

Hopefully, this will not be the case. The game looks as though it has really come together, as you'll see in these new screenshots. The Nintendo 64 platform could most certainly use a title like Dragon Sword, so, with luck, a publisher will express interest in it.
