Mythic Quest, the Apple TV+ workplace comedy satirizing the video game and tech industries, has been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4, according to a release issued by the streaming service.

"Just like critics and audiences all over the world, we fell in love with Rob [McElhenney, co-creator and star] and his team's sharp writing and full-of-heart, relatable characters that make up the world of Mythic Quest," said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. "We can't wait for viewers to see what's in store in the upcoming seasons of this brilliant workplace comedy." Check out a video McElhenney shared on Twitter announcing the news, which also features Mythic Quest guest star Anthony Hopkins and Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis.

As for what's ahead for the series--no details have been announced yet. Season 2 concluded back in June, with the series proving to be a surprising success for Apple. Created by Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and McElhenney for Apple TV+, Mythic Quest follows the journey of multiple developers, producers, and creatives at a game development studio that has created Mythic Quest, and incredibly popular MMORPG enjoyed by thousands of players.

The show debuted on the Apple streaming service back in February 2020 and--no doubt thanks to the track record both Day and McElhenney have with staying topical on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia--were quick to adapt the workplace comedy to the pandemic. The series quickly came up with not one, but two specials between seasons exploring, as McElhenney put it, "the practical and emotional difficulties" of adapting to a work from home and then "returning to normalcy."
