Presto Studios has announced that the gold master for Myst III: Exile was released to manufacturing this afternoon. The developer has been working on bug testing and programming fixes around the clock for the past few weeks to meet the April 10 deadline. Producer Dan Irish of Ubi Soft said, "Ubi Soft and Presto Studios are excited to announce the completion of this chapter of the Myst series. The dedication and attention to detail at the very end of the testing phase was intense, but the final product shows tremendous polish, refinement, and an overall quality that parallels the previous chapters, Myst and Riven."

Myst III: Exile is the latest installment of the popular adventure game series that includes Myst, one of the most popular computer games of all time, and Riven, the sequel to Myst. Myst III features a number of technical improvements on the previous games in the series, including full 360-degree movement and better graphics. The setting in the game is the same as that of the previous games, but the story follows a character seeking revenge against Atrus.
