My Hero Academia takes place in a world where most of the population have super powers called quirks. My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission follows Izuku Midoriya, Bakugo Katsuki, and Shoto Todoroki while they are on their hero internship with Shoto's father and the number one Pro Hero, Endeavor. Midoriya and his new friend Rody find themselves framed for a crime they didn't commit and are tasked with clearing their name while also having two hours to save the world from the villain Humarise--who plans on eliminating the world of quirks.

The movie takes place in the wake of the anime's fifth season which is streaming on Funimation and airing on Toonami.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission will be the third film in the series, the first being My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018) and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2020). The movie is expected to debut in more than 1,500 theaters across the United States and Canada.
