Find out a few details about the home release for the feature film.

Fans of the anime series My Hero Academia got a special feature film earlier this year titled My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. Now, the movie has a Blu-ray release date. Sadly, it's still a ways off.

Hitting stores on October 27, Heroes Rising is available for pre-order through Funimation and at Best Buy--available in steelbook and regular editions. Check out the Dub trailer for the movie below.

At this time, there isn't much known about the special features that will be included for the October release. And prices differ for all the editions at various retailers:

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising pre-order price:

  • Funimation (With All Might Funko Pop!) - $31.24
  • Best Buy (Regular edition) - $28
  • Best Buy (Steelbook) - $25
Best Buy's steelbook edition
Best Buy's steelbook edition

All versions of the movie seem the same. They each come with a Blu-ray, DVD, and digital copy. Funimation was the only place that had a description for the movie: "Make your stand along with Deku, Bakugo, and the rest of Class 1-A with this exclusive My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising bundle! And because you did so well with your training, we've convinced the All Might Funko POP! to join the adventure. Available only at The Funimation Shop."

As of this writing, the movie is not yet listed on Amazon. In GameSpot's review of My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, Jordan Ramée said, "The vast majority of Heroes Rising is good. The movie takes the time to contend that being a hero doesn't always mean beating up bad guys, while also delivering on a satisfying multitude of well-animated fights."
