My Aquarium 2 splashes WiiWare
Nintendo Store Update: Virtual storefront adds maritime sequel, Enjoy Your Massage on WiiWare; quartet of puzzle games mosey onto DSiWare.
Nintendo added two new titles to the WiiWare service this week, the first of which is My Aquarium 2 (500 Wii points, or $5). From Hudson Entertainment, the game lets players amass a varied assortment of maritime creatures, raise them, and decorate their tank. Additionally, the title syncs with the Wii's Forecast Channel, allowing the weather outside gamers' doors to be reflected in their tank. Further, players can use WiiConnect24 to share their tanks with friends and download additional content in the future.
Also hitting WiiWare this week is Enjoy Your Massage (500 Wii points, or $5) from Microforum. The game casts players as an apprentice masseuse who must learn massage combinations and use them on a variety of stressed customers. Though gamers start as a novice relaxation guru, with enough time and effort they can become the director of the beauty farm.
Switching to DSiWare, Nintendo added a quartet of games to the portable download spot this week. The first is an adventure puzzler, Turn: The Los Artifact (800 Wii points, or $8). From Creative Patterns, this handheld game has players guiding adventurers Kurt and Camila on a quest to find the elusive artifact. The game lets players rotate rooms 90 degrees, which vastly alters gravity situations in said rooms. The brainteaser title will thrust players into three distinct worlds, which have "about" 10 rooms in each.
Also arriving on DSiWare this week is Rhythm Core Alpha (500 DSi points, or $5). This music service tool lets users build instrument and drum loops, and solo over the base track using the DSi's stylus. Novice musicians needn't worry, as the title automatically detects the key and scale, thus making it impossible to hit a wrong note when soloing.
The last two games appearing on DSiWare this week are Absolute Chess (200 DSi points, or $2) and the child's game Did It Myself ABC123 (200 DSi points, or $2).
