Motorsport Simulations (also known as Motorsims) announced Wednesday that its first game, AMA Superbike, will debut at Bike Week, the annual motorcyclist gathering in Daytona, Fla.

More than 300,000 enthusiasts are expected to show up at Daytona Beach, including quite a few American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) riders like David Sadowski, broadcaster and former AMA Champion.

“I'm pleased to be part of the Motorsims racing team,” said Sadowski. “The Motorsims guys have the passion for racing it takes to be a winner. Anyone who's ever wanted to race in a competitive, officially sanctioned event will want to check out AMA Superbike.”

“Bike Week is the perfect event for us to launch our AMA Superbike title,” said Motorsims founder and chairman, Bob McCarthy, who at one time was chairman of ICI, the original company behind the popular online flight simulation Warbirds. “Motorsims is an active participant in the racing community and we want die-hard racing enthusiasts to be the first to enjoy our exciting simulation of the AMA Superbike experience. We look forward to introducing friends old and new to the new standard in racing simulation at this world-famous racing event.”

Motorsims plans to release AMA Superbike sometime this spring. On Tuesday, the company announced a long-term partnership with the Sports Car Club of America to develop games based on the club's many sponsored racing events.
