Electronic Arts has announced the completion of its online racing game, Motor City Online. The game lets players build, modify, and race a variety of hot rods from the golden age of American muscle cars with thousands of other players in an online community.

Motor City Online features classic cars, stock cars, and muscle cars from the 1930s through the 1970s. In addition, the game lets players customize their cars with more than 1,000 real-life parts to give them better performance or looks. The game features two modes: sim world and arcade action. In sim world, players buy, sell, trade, and customize their cars and then take them out to race on a wide variety of tracks. To augment their weekly salary, players can earn extra money by winning pro races or betting with other drivers. The more straightforward arcade action mode lets players pick a car, a track, and a race and then jump right into the competition.

Motor City Online was developed by EA Seattle and is scheduled for release in early November. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and visit the official Motor City Online Web site.
