Australia-based Torus Games has today announced that it's working on and seeking a publisher for Moto-X, a racing game for the Game Boy Advance. The game is the first to use Torus Games' new powerful 3D engine for the GBA, which the company claims allows it to create full free-roaming 3D environments that can be explored by up to four players simultaneously while maintaining a constant 20 frames per second. Torus believes that the engine could potentially be used to bring all kinds of games to the GBA, including flight simulation, golf, snowboarding, and first-person shooter or role-playing games set in outdoor environments.

Moto-X will take full advantage of the new engine by offering players the chance to race against each other on something other then predefined paths. The game's checkpoint races, for example, will challenge players to discover the quickest routes between checkpoints on large maps incorporating hills of snow, mud, dirt, and rocks.

No publisher or release date for Moto-X has been announced at this time, but we'll bring you more information on the game as it becomes available.
