VR developer Polyarc--creators of the successful storybook adventure Moss--has announced the game's sequel, Moss Book II, will be launching next spring on all virtual reality headsets.

The sequel to 2018's VR adventure was first announced during a PlayStation State of Play event on July 8, leading the broadcast with a short reveal trailer. Polyarc has since released some behind-the-scenes videos on YouTube detailing the game's development, from the hero Quill's animation to the game's environmental design.

The trailer revealing the announcement shows the mousy hero Quill traveling deeper into the castle where her uncle was held at the end of the first game. The game's story, according to the official press release, will see Quill hunted by a "winged tyrant" throughout the story, though "Quill has a plan of her own, one that could finally end the merciless rule of the Arcane and save the world from a great unmaking."

The original Moss first launched in February 2018 on PlayStation VR to critical acclaim, with multiple award wins and nominations coming at the end of the year. The game was ported to PC-based VR headsets in July 2018, followed by a release on Quest.
