Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition landing in Australia May 1
Warner Bros has revealed the recently classified Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will be available at Australian retailers in May; game will be priced at $39.95.
Warner Bros has confirmed the Australian release date for the recently classified Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition. The game will launch in Australia on May 1 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and will retail for $39.95.
The game was rated R18+ by the Australian Classification Board for "high-impact violence, blood, and gore". It will include all previously released downloadable content, including playable characters Scarlet, Kenshii, Rain, and Freddy Krueger, and include tag team and King of the Hill modes.
The game became one of Australia's highest-profile titles to be banned from sale, with the board denying the first two submissions on the grounds of "explicit" violence, blood spray, and limb dismemberment during fatalities, making it unsuitable to be accommodated within the then-maximum MA15+ guidelines.
Australia introduced an adult R18+ classification for video games at the start of this year.
