Mortal Kombat 1 is launching on September 18, although a beta will run this August, and you can get early access with select editions.
Mortal Kombat 1 is launching on September 18, and it’s looking to shake up the iconic series. NetherRealm Studios will be bringing players to a reborn universe that offers “reimagined versions of iconic characters” and boasts a brand-new story mode. Of course, the game is just as violent as ever--and if you’re excited to dive back into the bloody battlefield, you’ll be glad to know that Mortal Kombat 1 preorders are live now, including a cool Kollector's edition that is selling out fast. Mortal Kombat 1 will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Here’s a look at all available editions of Mortal Kombat 1, along with all possible preorder bonuses--including early access with select purchases.
Mortal Kombat Preorder Bonuses

All preorders come with the bonus Shang Tsung playable character along with access to a beta in August. If you preorder the premium or Kollector’s edition, you’ll also get early access to the game on September 14.
Preorder Mortal Kombat Standard Edition
$70
The standard edition of Mortal Kombat comes with the base game and any eligible preorder bonuses. This is the cheapest way to get your hands on the fighter. It's worth noting it also costs $70 on Switch, which makes it the first third-party game to go for that price. PC players can get a big discount by preordering their Steam key at Green Man Gaming.
Mortal Kombat Premium Edition
$110
Step up to the Premium edition to get the Kombat Pack, early access to the game on September 14, and 1,250 Dragon Krystals (in-game currency). The Kombat Pack includes the following:
- Johnny Cage character skin
- Jean-Claude Van Damme
- Early access to six new playable characters
- Five new Kameo Fighters
You can save $20 on the Premium edition by preordering at Green Man Gaming.
Mortal Kombat Kollector’s Edition
$250
It carries a hefty price tag, but it also comes with some cool physical goodies. Beyond everything in the premium edition, you’ll also get:
- 16.5-inch Liu Kang sculpture
- Three exclusive art prints
- Steel case
- Additional 1,450 Dragon Krystals (in-game currency)
If you're interested in the Kollector's Edition, you should probably order as soon as possible. Multiple retailers have already sold out. At the time of writing, Best Buy still had the Kollector's Edition in stock. The Kollector's Edition is only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
