New footage from the Tom Holland/Mark Wahlberg Uncharted movie debuted at CinemaCon recently, but unfortunately, the video is not being made available to the public. ScreenRant reports that brand-new footage aired recently as part of Sony's package. The site has a breakdown of what was shown:

"In the brief clips, a few sequences are shown, including one with Nathan Drake entering a cave-like area. Another shot shows Sully saying, 'I'm offering you a chance to find/discover things you've only read about.' The money shot seems to be a teaser of a major action sequence where Nathan Drake is seen falling out of a cargo plane with some of the cargo falling out with him. Finally, the sizzle reel ends with a shot of Sully at some sort of auction."

Holland's other big movie for Sony is Spider-Man: No Way Home, which recently got its first trailer--and you can watch this one.

Literally two seconds of footage from the Uncharted film debuted earlier this year. The video showed Wahlberg as Sully and Holland as Nathan Drake dressed up for what looks like a fancy cocktail party. It's hard to know what's going on with such little context, but the pair didn't seem to be very friendly at this moment in time.

In addition to Wahlberg and Holland, the Uncharted movie stars Antonio Banderas in an unspecified role, while Sophia Ali (Grey's Anatomy) is lined up to play Chloe Frazer. Tati Gabrielle from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina plays Braddock.

The Uncharted movie wrapped filming last October. It's directed by Ruben Fleischer, who previously directed the Zombieland movies and Venom. The Uncharted movie, which is based on Naughty Dog's video game series, comes to theaters in February 2022.

Sony Pictures is staying very busy adapting video games for film and TV. There are 10 new film/TV adaptations in the works based on PlayStation games. Some of the others include the Ghost of Tsushima movie from John Wick's Chad Stahelski and the Twisted Metal TV show from the writers of Deadpool.
