Really? The most powerful console ever made is usually whatever is next. Anyone can say this when things evolve. As soon as the new cell phone comes out, TV, even breath mints!!! They are the most powerful and best ever made! I don't doubt that it will be the most powerful...although the most powerful console right now is the PS4. Then the Neo or whatever will be the most powerful ever made. Project Scorpio is still in R&D. When it releases, it will most likely be the most powerful console ever made. It isn't the most powerful yet because we can't get our hands on it. So for now, It is the most powerful console "in Development". Save that claim for 2017.

Launching in September, I don't think its impossible, but its it would be the dumbest thing Sony could do, people need time to plan to buy a new console, several months are needed for this, if they launch during TGS they're basically killing themselves since no one will be able to buy anything, the best date to launch is close to the end of the first half of the year with a moderate library planned for the year, or, during the end of the year, maybe on Black Friday, maybe even after but before the holyday, a time were everyone has money, hardly anyone has money during the time between July to November.

I dont think sony will make a big deal out of the neo. They will launch simply as a ps4k. People will have the option depending on budget. They wont claim to be making the most powerful console ever. It will simply be the ps4k.

HDR and 4K should been implemented since both consoles launch not as a selling point, i understand that micro situatión with current xbox1 was needed due the poor rock edge design. In case of sony a ps4 slim seems redundant. Know i think people should be aware of the difference between both companies. Microsoft scorpio is a next gen console for sony the leap to Neo its a middle step to acknowledge a 6-7 years current gen a serious leap for them will be branded ps5 which i expect to be release 2019

Great. No more downgrading games I suppose (Except for Ubisoft who'll downgrade anyways). And also native 1080p / 60fps. Console owners will be delighted and will have an enhanced gaming experience.

Get real ppl Ps4 neo is only upgrade what will have same games as ps4 since sony said no exclisive games for Ps4 neo . Aslo along be PS4 slim so real MS and Sony copying each other.

To be honest, I'm not sure why anyone would buy a PlayStation Neo with the current rumors about it: All games must run on both PS4 and Neo; All games on Neo must run at 60fps; and PlayStation Neo is 35%+ weaker than Xbox Scorpio. This basically means that the difference in PS4 games and Neo games will be greatly reduced by that 60fps requirement because a lot of power is being put at making them run at those frames per second. Also, no such requirement has been announced for the Scorpio meaning we could see games that run at 30fps, thus being graphics intensive. On top of that, there has been mixed communication about all games on Scorpio being playable on the original Xboxes(I've heard Phil say they will, and another person in an interview at E3 say its not a requirement), and if not would mean games could be heavily optimized for the Scorpio making them look that much better than Neo games.

Sony should throw in 4K Blu-ray and HDR in the slim and match the X1S for price. Don't underestimate the market for a cheap 4K Blu-ray player and let MS sneak in extra sales that way.

They should just release both a Neo slimmed down in one instead of 2 like Microsoft. This just complicates the deal but I'm interested how all this will go

It's going to be kinda of awkward with Sony releasing both the Slim PS4 and the Neo at the same time I like Microsoft's approach of the more staggered release it just feels like it makes more sense this way unless the Slim is both significantly cheaper and Slimmer then the Neo there really won't be a point in buying it. With the Xbox One S I want it because the Original Xbox One design is huge and that power brick is a pain. When it comes to the PS4 it's really small enough and I have no issues with it although I guess this is a good opportunity to add HDR support like Microsoft is doing for the Xbox One.
