Earlier this week, Codemasters sent us some new screenshots from its upcoming tactical action game, Operation Flashpoint. This batch of screens contains some views of the map editor, along with a variety of screens showing off the game's different vehicles, characters, weapons, and environments. In the game, players will assume the role of a NATO private on a peacekeeping mission in the Cold War-era Soviet Union. Characters in the game can advance in rank according to their success in the game's missions. In addition to combat on foot, several missions will let players engage in combat from air and land vehicles.

Operation Flashpoint is in development at Bohemia Interactive, and it is scheduled for release this summer. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and download the playable demo linked below.
