Monster Rancher 3 gets PictureParadise
Players will be able to import their personal images into Tecmo's Monster Rancher 3 through the use of Sony Electronics' PictureParadise technology.
Tecmo has announced that Monster Rancher 3 for the Sony PlayStation 2 will support Sony Electronics' PictureParadise technology. The software lets players take an existing image from a Sony digital camera or camcorder and import it into the game through a standard USB connection.
"In Monster Rancher 3, we are giving players a wealth of options in order to customize their monster," said John Inada, marketing director at Tecmo. "You can now personalize your virtual pet by decking it out with your choice of clothing, jewelry, or other accessories. The ultimate in customization, however, is being able to take a real-life picture and carry that into the world of Monster Rancher 3. Tecmo pioneers the way for others by being the first to offer this new technology to gamers."
In this latest game in the Monster Rancher series, players can spawn new monsters using data from standard DVD movies, as well as music CDs and game discs.
