Now that Monster Hunter World's Iceborne expansion is out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Capcom has announced what's coming to the action-RPG, revealing a roadmap that leads all the way into next year.
The official Monster Hunter Twitter account shared a sneak peek of a few updates headed to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. October will introduce a new monster, Rajang, and additional updates to your room. November brings a new PlayStation 4-exclusive Event Quest inspired by Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds. December comes with two more Frozen Wilds quests on PS4, as well as a new unannounced monster and a season event. 2020 marks Monster Hunter World's two-year anniversary, with "more title updates on the way."
Capcom packaged the Iceborne expansion in a new edition of Monster Hunter World. The bundle, called Master Edition, features all existing content along with the Iceborne expansion and retails for $60 USD. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne hit a big milestone in its first week, shipping 2.5 million units. Despite currently being for PS4 and Xbox One, Iceborne is expected to launch on Steam sometime in January 2020.
