The next game in the Monster Hunter series lands this summer for the 3DS. Monster Hunter Generations releases in July, alongside a limited-edition New 3DS XL that features art based on the upcoming game, publisher Capcom announced in a press release.

The limited-edition 3DS is adorned with a new take on the Guild symbol, while the main baddies, the Fated Four, are printed faintly in the background. North America gets a blue version, while Europe will see a red one. You can take a look at them in the pictures below.

Additionally, a playable demo will be released on the Nintendo eShop before Generations is out. There's no confirmed date for it, other than "this summer."

Monster Hunter Generations releases for 3DS on July 15. The Monster Hunter-themed New 3DS XL launches on the same day; however, the game will not be bundled with the New 3DS in North America. In Europe, it will be pre-installed on the system.

In Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, you could outfit you and your companions with costumes from characters like Mario, Link, and Samus. The upcoming Generations will feature a costume based on Capcom franchise Okami. There are costumes for other video game characters like Marth.

The limited-edition handheld may look familiar to some, and that's because a similar version released exclusively in Japan last year. There has also been a special-edition 3DS made for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
