Though Treyarch and Infinity Ward have both produced blockbuster entries in the Call of Duty franchise, the two studios don't always include each other's added features, like Treyarch's zombie modes. However, one big addition in Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops will find its way into the Infinity Ward-Sledgehammer-developed Modern Warfare 3: options to assist color-blind players.

According to a recent blog entry at Sledgehammer Games' website, the developer is bringing a "Color Blind Assist" option to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This mode was first introduced in last November's best-selling Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the successor to the well-received Call of Duty: Black Ops. Set to launch on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 November 8, Modern Warfare 3 will be the first Call of Duty to support Call of Duty: Elite, the online social service Activision announced in May. Elite opens up in beta form on July 14, at which time it will be compatible with Call of Duty: Black Ops in a limited fashion.

The program's full feature set will be announced at Activision's first-ever Call of Duty XP convention, which is slated for September 2 and 3 in Los Angeles.
