Modern Warfare 2 map pack due spring 2010

This will probably be the highest selling game of the year. Why wouldn't they just include the maps in the game? Oh wait thats right, it's Activision. Of course I am buying MW2 but I still know they are greedy and I don't respect them for that.

As if they weren't rich as hell already huh ! i ain't buying that prestige package neither ! just the regular game ^_^

Sheesh, way to already have content planned before the game is even released. I bet they already have it done, or just removed a few maps to make us pay money for it. Makes me sick, especially since I already preordered the game. What can I say? I know the game is probably going to be good but the company behind it is insanely greedy. I'll wipe my ass with a $10 bill before giving it to Activision.

wtf thats like 4 months after the game comes out...better release more than 2 map packs then. i remember cod4 didnt get maps until a whole year later.

Releasing a map pack isn't greed. It's to keep the game feeling fresh, increasing it's replay value.

btw this series is gonna get milked like hell, i see it this way, you buy the engine with a demo, and then the real game comes in the add-ons.

Come the down everybody. Jesus what makes you think that the map pack is even finished yet, they're just announcing it. If everything was released a month after announcement, we would all be playing COD: MW2 like five months ago. Also for all of you thinking that they are just milking it, and the map pack is unnecessary, who cares. Other games have done it, like Halo 3. I mean come on Fallout 3 had 5 EXPANSIONS for god's sake, and not to many people were complaining then.

i wouldnt have a problem with this if the maps were free like they should be. but everyone knows cod is a money making machine.

They probably already finished the map packs and are just planning on a day that would get them the most money.

Honestly, why not just release it on release day? Why tell us now?

Planning, already made, whats the difference? Your still going to pay on top of sale price for your precious map packs.

you guys are not getting money from me for this map pack. Just ship the maps with the game and don't try to be greedy. this game is gonna sell a ton. the net gain is gonna be huge, there is no need to do this.

honestly, this game is no longer able to live up to the hype. its starting to seem like what happened before halo 3. seriously, we know the original was great but this is too much, "releasing" info like this this early. i think im going to stick with brutal legend and/or saboteur this holiday, esp if this keeps up

IW has stated that they dont start making mappacks until the game is released they only plan them out so quit ur crying.

I hate Activision, IW gets a terrible rep from having them as their publisher...

already there is a map pack due out next year and the game itslef isnt out until about another month and a half

Well if it's coming out Spring i guess that's a good 6 months of killing before we get bored. I hope they IW supports it like Trey but i don't think they need to. Also people complaining that they are announcing map packs before the game comes out, well they kind of announced at E3 they were doing it.

Dont milk this game with 20 map packs like WaW. It did no good cause i didnt buy any of them. CoD4 was perfect with just one and i didnt even need that to enjoy the game.

greedy bastards making future map packs without releasing the game first. I dont drink energy drinks anyway which sucks because I still want the map packs even if I think they should be released with the game.

I remember during the E3 where they showed the MW2 demo at the Xbox 360 conference, where the Infinity Ward person said that the map packs would be on Xbox Live before the PSN, kinda like a timed exclusive. But this article doesn't mention it. Or maybe Infinity Ward changed its mind. But still, this game is hopefully mind blowing.

I love monster drinks. I'll probably be getting them even more now, wish me luck! :D

fun i think Assault is the only flavor of monster i haven't tried yet. can't be any worse than Mixx'd flavor.
