Mobile - Best Games of 2014 Nominees

Mobile magic.

We carry them in our pockets, and some of them we carry in our hearts. Mobile games have become a hot contender for the best of the best, with games like Monument Valley and Hearthstone garnering critical acclaim and adoration. Everything from card battlers to narrative-driven experiences, math puzzles to twitch-based challenges, has made its way to the mobile space, keeping us company on long commutes and during commercial breaks. Games like Hitman Go are becoming the standard for attractive portable experiences, giving us a lot to chew on during a small amount of time. Or in some cases, giving us a lot to chew on and gluing us to our phones and tablets from hours on end while we lay in bed at night or sit crammed on a packed subway car.

Our nominees represent the best of these portable experiences, small bits of big magic that speak to the achievement in the ever-expanding mobile world. In a world where we're constantly moving and craving stimulation in those two or three minutes of downtime, these are the games that have won us over.
