MLB The Show 21 Preorder Guide: Release Date, Bonuses, Game Pass, And More
MLB The Show 21 releases April 20 on PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
We're just weeks away from the release of MLB The Show 21. The latest iteration of Sony's popular baseball sim arrives on April 20. For the first time ever, it will be available on a non-PlayStation platform, too. MLB The Show 21 will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on the same day. MLB The Show 21 is available to preorder now for all four platforms, and there are numerous editions to choose from and bonuses to snag. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can play MLB The Show 21 for free, as it will be added to the program on launch day.
MLB The Show 21's PS4 and Xbox One standard edition will cost $60. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S edition will go for $70, the new price point for select next-gen games. You cannot upgrade the standard edition to the next-gen version. However, the Jackie Robinson editions come with access to both the PS4/PS5 or Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.
MLB The Show 21 preorder bonuses
If you preorder any digital edition from the PlayStation or Xbox Store, you'll receive a Gold Choice Pack for Diamond Dynasty. The PS4 and Xbox One versions also come with 5,000 stubs. Meanwhile, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S edition includes 5,000 stubs as well as 10 The Show Packs. The Jackie Robinson editions of MLB The Show 21 come with even more bonuses.

The Jackie Robinson edition of MLB The Show 21 costs $85 and comes with a bunch of goodies. The included disc is for PS4 or Xbox One, but it comes with a code to unlock the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version. You also get four days early access, so you can start playing on April 16. The Digital Deluxe edition of MLB The Show 21 costs $100 and has even more goodies than the physical Jackie Robinson edition. You can start playing on April 16 and will have access to both PS4/PS5 or Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.

MLB The Show 21 will support cross-platform online multiplayer across the PlayStation and Xbox ecosystems. PlayStation versions of The Show 21 will also feature cross-progression, so if you start on PS4 and then eventually move to PS5, your progress will carry over.
San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. is the MLB The Show 21 cover athlete for the pair of standard editions. Baseball legend Jackie Robinson graces the cover of the collector's editions.
