MLB The Show 20 PS4 Buying Guide: MVP Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, And More

MLB The Show 20 arrives on March 17 for PS4, and there are four different editions to choose from, each of which comes with a variety of great bonuses.

With the MLB's Opening Day delayed from March 26 to April 9 at the earliest due to concerns over the coronavirus, those looking to get their baseball fix will have to stick to MLB The Show 20 for now, which launches today, March 17 on PS4. Those who pre-ordered MLB The Show 20's MVP, Digital Deluxe, or Anniversary Editions gained four-day early access and could start playing as early as March 13.

Back in December, Sony revealed MLB The Show would no longer be a PlayStation exclusive. The change doesn't go into effect until 2021, though. It's too early to say which platforms MLB The Show 21 will release on, but based on tweets from Nintendo and Microsoft, Xbox One/Series X and Nintendo Switch owners will probably get to play one of the best sports sim series of all time next year. For now, however, Sony's console is the only place to play ball.

We recently got to mess with some of the improvements developer SIE San Diego has made in this year's entry, including instantaneous attribute boosts, real time chemistry mechanics, and more. We also learned this entry will have full minor league rosters at its disposal at launch--an exciting first for the series.

If you're looking to pick up MLB The Show 20 this week, we've got you covered. Read on for more details on what's included with each edition and where to buy.
