Since this game isn't a system seller, they should release a version on xbox one, they would make a lot more money...i mean i bought my ps4 for 2 reasons: MLB (because there is no sim anywhere else) and for gran turismo (which there is no ps4 gran turismo nor any gran turismo on ps now.)

So, i guess mlb was a system seller for me...lol

@DIOSNY: while that's technically true becausea few pc gamers would have picked it up on console, but the vast majority of gamers(as well as the vast majority of money) is made on consoles.

@DIOSNY: A Playstation 3 and a Playstation 4 is under the same brand much like Xbox 360 and Xbox One....but they are all gaming consoles nonetheless.

Windows 10 is for PC which is not a gaming console. Games that are on the Xbox but released on PC are considered console exclusive...like SFV for PS4, but not completely exclusive. In the case of MLB, it's considered Playstation exclusive because Playstation consoles are the only consoles to see this game.

@louixiii: at the end of the day it's not PC vs console MS own a console and the PC market and they're choosing to service both no console gamer is going to buy SF5 on PC just cause it's on PC as well the same way people didn't stop buying GTAV on console just cause it came out on PC.

@DIOSNY: GTAV came out on consoles first, but if the PC version would have released at the same time as the console versions, then it wouldn't have sold as much on consoles. Same for Quantum Break when it releases. Who wouldn't want the best version of any game?

@DIOSNY: The term exclusive has evolved. It's either exclusive, timed exclusive, console exclusive, brand exclusive, or brand exclusive on consoles...with one or two being current gen console exclusive (think I've seen a game release on 360, PS3 and PS4, but not Xbox One). There are very few true exclusives nowadays.

14 on ps4 looked like a ps3 port, but 15 was amazing. Seeing the Twitch feeds, 16 will be better. SSD trailers always look worse than the game itself, once in the console, it looks awesome.

As for exclusivity, SSD is a first party dev; 2K and EA abandoned baseball. Don't blame Sony on "exclusive "; even with competition they'd be head and shoulders above everyone, except maybe High Heat.

Well, i'm one not blaming an "exclusive" (maybe others are). I really just don't think anybody wants to make a Baseball Game these days, because the money may not be in it (as compared to other sports). I personally feel NHL is on it's last legs, before they end that. It's a small market share.

However, the "base" is not all growing for The Show either. They just now have PS4 and PS3 (instead of just PS3) that in the short term, saved them.

However, it can't go on like this for them. Every year, we hear it's going to get better, but lets face it, it never does.

It's all about how much they take away, rather than adding.

Do you even see foul balls anymore? Sounds of The Show? Classic Stadiums? Analog Stride Batting ? Batter set ups? Their excuse, is that nobody wants these things, and tend to just press the button to go beyond it.

Well, do they press the button to go beyond the Pre Game? Yet, they'll cut that out too? It's all excuses to cut budgets.

They keep gutting the games to keep within ever shrinking budgets. If they did however, branch it out to Xbox (which will never happen, at least not now), they can bring in double the market share, and save the game.

Wow not a MLB fan but was really surprised to see the sports video games being PlayStation exclusive, that is a bad call from the heads of the MLB. I just don't see the logic of alienating majority of the sports gaming fan base (PC/Xbox).

@yankblan: The name does say it, that is why I was critical of the MLB bosses, who agreed to allow to make the sport games exclusively for a console.

Got to feel sorry for the sports fans who wants to play the games but can't. I'm sure the game is in good hands, I just found it very strange from a neutral point of view.

Yeah, i'll stick with 13 RTTS, and 14 player lock Franchise on PS3. What's been said is true. No competition breeds laziness amongst developers.

It's happened to all of them. Madden, NHL, FIFA (though that may now change given PES's surge), and now The Show ever since 2K went out the window.

Not to mention making the hitting like 2K, ridding the stride feature on the analog batting. Games becoming Arcade Baseball.

I'd love to see 2K back in the game, if only for the fact it would make The Show better. Tough to watch.

@jagdedge124: regardless, all games you mentioned are terrific anyway. But, yearly releases should be cheaper because they are mostly ever just a patch and roster update....maybe they should just make it MLB the Show or Fifa yearly subs for $19.99 if they aren't going to write new code...

I love Baseball, and grew up playing it, and watching it, but i'm near 50 lol. It's an older demographic sport, one that tends not play video games. We have our Little League here in DEEP trouble, being kids don't want to play.

So, nobody out there really wants to dwell into it.

2K beats the The Show by leaps and bounds with it's Basketball Game (and Basketball don't get a quarter of the viewers who watch Baseball, but sells so much better with it's game, again, Demographics), and so, why would they go to a Baseball game with a quarter of the market share?

So, it's not that The Show can make it better necessarily at all, it's just what San Diego Studio's does, that nobody else wants too.

But i'll tell you, if the game doesn't get much better, or they can't pull away from a Sony Exclusive, and branch it out to Xbox and other outlets to bring in many more players, time may be running out for The Show.

This is ridiculous. Same graphics/visual quality the last three years. Quit taking the easy way out and get your s*** together Sony San Diego. As much as I hate to give EA credit, Madden, FIFA, and UFC all look better. Not to mention 2k is killing it in the basketball category. This sucks
