Miyamoto Developing "Unique" Dolphin Project

Although he has several established franchises to work with, Nintendo development guru Shigeru Miyamoto is also looking to create games in new genre's for the Dolphin.

Comments

Shigeru Miyamoto, of Nintendo Company Limited, recently told Nintendo Power magazine that he is working on a completely new game for the Dolphin. According to Myamoto, the game will be in an entirely new genre - one he dubs "communication gaming" - and will be one of the Dolphin's Japanese launch titles. Unfortunately, Miyamoto could not elaborate further on the game itself, stating only that development on the title could be wrapped up by the end of the summer. He also commented on Nintendo's need to create new video game characters for its next-generation console, to complement existing favorites such as Mario and Donkey Kong.

GameSpot expects Nintendo to showcase this mysterious Dolphin game at the upcoming Space World 2000 in August.
