The sequel to Ka for the PlayStation 2--known as Mister Mosquito in the US--has been revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine. The original Ka took place at the Yamada family's residence in Japan. In Ka 2, the family goes to Hawaii after winning a vacation from a local shop. The mosquito travels with them, since he is used to the family's blood, and in addition to being able to suck the blood of the Yamada family, it can suck the blood of the Brown family, who is hosting the Yamada family.

Unlike in the original Ka, the player can suck blood from any part of the target's body, instead of being limited to sucking blood from designated points. A new pressure-point system has been implemented in the game, where sucking blood from pressure points on the body will allow the mosquito to get more blood. There is also a relaxation point system--the mosquito can sting the relaxation point of a person to calm him or her down when the mosquito is being chased.

Ka 2 is currently 80 percent complete and is scheduled for release in the summer in Japan.
