Minecraft not launching with PlayStation 4

If you follow the Mojang dev twitter feeds you'll see that they do more running-around-the-world-as-community-darlings than development. Minecraft PE hasn't seen a release for 6 months now. It'd be a great gig as a developer, but as a company they need to buckle down and get some software released.

This is great news for all those soon-to-be PlayStation 4 owners who didn't have any other devices that were capable of playing Minecraft. And they'll be able to play it in glorious 1080p which XBOX users are stuck with lowly 720p. Ha ha ha!

Just add in cross-save and it's fine.

Normally I would be bummed but between the plus games, amazon B2G1 deal and gamefly, I am good for a spell.

I wonder if all those delays has something to do with M$ ? I find it hard to believe that all developer are so lacking in skills that they aren't able to bring single game on time.

Weak! How long does it take to port minecraft??! Seriously?

This game is highly shall I say "time taking." Got this on 360 way back when. PS buyers beware, prepare to spend way to many hours playing this when it comes your way. It is the funnest game that looks like an old 8 bit game you will probably play for a long time. I am just curious how the next gen versions will look in comparision to the current gen.

Thank goodness. My bro might actually be able to play his for awhile before his Minecraft-addicted kid takes it over.

I honestly can not understand the appeal of this game. It's truly one of the ugliest game ever made in the last 20 years. Even the original Doom and Wolfenstein looks better. It's far more fun playing with a Crysis SDK or portal level editor. South Park got it right. This game is completely pointless.

Sony should have just launched the PS4 late 2014 or 2015... and spared themselves such a humiliating launch lineup...

Sony should have just had someone in house port minecraft over. Leaving this to 4J seems silly since they're probably busy with the xboxone port, and of course they are going to prioritize microsoft for the moneys. But as it's been stated, who doesn't already have minecraft on one system or another already?

Um....who cares?

I can't imagine there is literally ANYONE out there who is getting the PS4 for Minecraft.

Whether they be a console gamer, a PC gamer, or a complete non-gamer, given the number of other platforms upon which you can play Minecraft, it being missing on the PS4 at launch is essentially a non-issue.

Not getting a Ps4 till the spring anyway, and I shall be playing Space Engineers until then, if not beyond.

Minecraft is a PC game. Any PC on the planet can run it. Why would you ever get it for a console?
