Minecraft Listed For Wii U Release

Errr shouldn't this have been on WiiU from the start? Also how is this coming to WiiU if MS own Minecraft?

Absolutely no mention of this during the Direct. :( Disappointing. I was actually looking forward to this.

It's kinda too late now. Mojang didn't want to release it on the system and now the fans already have a clone on it. I guess fans of it will still buy it though.

Finally a game that won't have to have its graphics reduced to run on the system. They will probably have to remove other featuresand make the map really small to get it to actually play on the joke of the console world.

I wonder where the inventory screen should go.

Well when you look at it, Microsoft wasnt against a release on Wii U and were surprised Mojang never brought it up to Nintendo. Lets hop tonight's direct will see some big things

It makes perfect sense to put this on the WiiU, but why has it taken this long to do so.

It never made sense NOT to put it on Wii U. Maybe I'll finally pick it up. I hope it's a physical release and not digital only.

About time, I've never gotten much out of the Xbox releases but if they do the port right I can see myself spending hours playing it. They just need 2 things for me to day one buy it: touch screen inventory management and a 2 player mode where one person gets the tv and one gets the gamepad. Splitscreen is just too cramped for Minecraft.

very exciting. it's about time. I honestly wasn't expecting this since Microsoft bought the game, but I'm very glad!

I'm also wishing for a New 3DS port! that would be so fun! even if it wasn't as great as the others there's potential! the second screen as an always open inventory and the c-stick would be great!

Right on time! Seriously though, why not earlier? Would've been perfect for a Nintendo console. Those interested probably already have at least 4 versions of the bloody game by now.

Obviously M$ had to wait long after the Xbone version because they don't want it to be known that the Wii U version would have outsold the Xbone version seeing how M$ owners don't care about non-sci fi/military shooters and racing games. Even a big name game like MGS V didn't sell that well on Xbone.
