Minecraft has now sold 10 million copies on three different platforms
Console version of open-ended sandbox game joins PC and Pocket versions in the 10-million seller club.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has now sold 10 million copies since launch in May 2012, making the Xbox 360 the third platform on which the game has sold that many units. Minecraft for PC and Mac has sold 13 million copies, while Minecraft: Pocket Edition passed 10 million sales this year.
The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft sells for $20, meaning the title has generated $200 million since launch. This is up from 8 million units sold in August.
Creator Markus "Notch" Persson told GameSpot, "I'm having a hard time processing it."
As a "thank you" to players, Microsoft is offering 50 percent off all skin and texture packs (excluding Mashup packs) for one day only on Saturday, December 14. Minecraft is also coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, though release dates for those platforms have not been announced.
