Midway has officially announced that Roadkill is in development for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. The game is set in a postapocalyptic world ruled by various gangs. Players will take on the role of a mercenary who must take the fight to the gangs over the course of 30 missions set across three different environments such as Lava Falls, Blister Canyon, and Paradise City.

There are 30 vehicles to choose from in the game, each of which can be equipped with an assortment of weapons, including machine guns, guided missiles, and grenade launchers. Players can collect parts throughout the game to upgrade their vehicles and unlock additional features.

A radio feature in the game will help provide players with information about missions as well as notify them if there are any bounties out on their heads. The radio will also be used to play a variety of different types of music, and the Xbox version will support the soundtrack-ripping feature. In addition, Midway plans to include two- to four-player deathmatch support in each version of the game. Roadkill is currently scheduled for release this fall.
