Microsoft said no to PlayStation 4 exclusive Rime

The way many of the Xbox fans seem to be reacting (eg. "Meh", "no big deal", Not missing out on anything", "doesn't look that good anyway") it would seem that Microsoft didn't make a mistake at all. If their fans don't like games like this, why would they want to fund one? PlayStation fans seem to enjoy the artsy stuff more than other console fan bases.

Doesnt look like Xbox owners are missing out on anything. I didnt play 500$ for a next gen gaming console to play crap that looks like it belongs on the PS2.

It's not a shooter why bother right Microsoft ???

Well, I guess this is one more reason to get a Playstation 4 instead of an Xbox One.

Big mistake for Microsoft

M$ invested 100 million dollars to enhance the Xbox one controller (without even changing much), while turning down a possible good game of 3 million dollars. FAIL!

Microsoft said no to Independent Developers initially too.....Until they pulled their heads out of their asses and copied the self-publishing policies that Sony was allowing smaller development studios.

Truthfully, RIME doesn't look like an MS/XBOX game... which definitely skew toward shooters RIME looks right at home with Sony... SHADOW OF COLOSSUS, ICO, RAIN, JOURNEY, etc.

Looks cool but certainly not something to covet.

Is the game that amazing?

No one is prefect. Everyone makes mistakes including Sony and Nintendo. Just be glad you managed to get Titanfall and the Gears of War Franchise.

Sony has really paid a lot of developers to praise their console. Where is all the PC love if barely noticeable hardware advantage between consoles is enough to keep producing these articles.

Tequila works is probably very happy Msoft passed, since now their game will have a much larger install base.

Ok now I will bash xbox fans for supporting Microtheft er soft however this is just journalism bashing a company for making boo boos that is out of their control. He called the shot and he missed like no other company did this. Wow this is desperate to try to cause a ruckus over...

I am starting to regret buying an xbox. I only used it to watch TV since none of the games kept me interested.

This is why XBox exclusives will never be as good as PS exclusives (to me at least). Microsoft turns down new, creative ideas while Sony embraces them. Microsoft just likes to stick with the known to be successful formula of the generic shooter, while Sony takes risks and tries everything.

God of War, Heavy Rain, Killzone, Infamous, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, The Puppeteer, Gran Turismo. Just look at the variety of that list, and all are great games.

I was a little impressed with Microsoft when they showed Ryse because it was a game that actually had an ounce of thought put into it, but we all know how that game turned out to be.

As of right now, DR3 is probably the only XBox exclusive I find even remotely interesting. I even tried the Titanfall Beta on PC and didn't like it.
