Video won't always be the only way of sharing your favorite Xbox One moments: Although we don't yet know when it will be coming, the ability to take screenshots of your games on Xbox One is on Microsoft's list of features to add in a future update.

This is according to Head of Xbox Phil Spencer, who was asked whether Microsoft has plans to allow players to take screenshots and share them on social networks like Twitter. "Yea, this is the list for the monthly updates, team is making great progress on the updates," Spencer replied on Twitter. "More features to come."

Indeed, Microsoft has been routinely rolling out system updates for the Xbox One. Among other things, the Xbox One added a new Party Chat mode and Twitch streaming in March, friend notifications in April, and a sound mixer this month. June's update will add support for external storage devices and allow players to use their real names on Xbox Live.

The ability to take screenshots would be a natural addition to the system--players can already record gameplay video on the fly that can then be shared with other Xbox One owners or uploaded to OneDrive. The PlayStation 4, meanwhile, already allows screenshots to be taken using the DualShock 4's Share button.

What features are you most hoping to see show up on Xbox One? Let us know in the comments below.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Oh wow, I didn't realize that the PS4 invented taking screenshots.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> It did. Keyboards did not have a printscreen button until 2014, everyone knows that :)

<< LINK REMOVED >> Like Sony has never copied anything. Motion controls, online gaming service, and trophies, and so much more. Each borrows from each other to make something better. If you think no company has borrowed another's idea then you're not too bright.

Exactly! Almost everything today is borrowed or copied from somewhere. I've been using screen capture on my phone for many years and have done it on my computer for who knows how long. I was just proving a point and quelling the fanboyism.

Please, 90% of PS features are blatant rip offs of the original Xbox and 360 innovations. Let's not forget where 'trophies' came from. What about the soon to be implemented upload videos? The PS3 wouldn't even have a hard drive if it wasn't for MS.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Oh & did you forget that Microsoft released the 360 Arcade console with NO hard drive? Even Sony wasn't stupid to release a console with no storage at all.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Yet the Trophy system is much cooler IN MY OPINION due to the RPG-like system. That's just me. I also love the Achievement system which is a pool of your points.

360 innovated where? Kinect? Ummm remember the Eye Toy from Sony???

360 avatars copied Nintendo Mii's.

Can you upgrade your STOCK Xbox One hard drive with a custom HDD of your choice? Can you upgrade it WITHOUT voiding your warranty?

Please don't act like Microsoft is KING or anything (Sony isn't either).

<< LINK REMOVED >> LOL hard drive? So MS invented hard drives?

In gaming consoles, yes, Microsoft innovated the hard drive .

<< LINK REMOVED >> lol something that was already invented is NOT innovation no matter how you try to twist it. Hard drives weren't invented by MS, therefore, NOT innovation. Stop trying to give all the credit to MS.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Exactly. Sony didn't even have a trophy system or any cool multiplayer features until they copied from Microsoft.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Well, if you can't innovate you might as well copy, just do it properly. MS has a great track record for copying features but in the most half assed way possible.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> LAWL excuse me? No. Trophies were copied from MS. XMB was copied from MS and is a horrible knockoff version of the xbox overlay. Kinect copied from eye toy then move copied from kinect. GWG was "copied" from PS+ except you actually owned the games. DS4 was copied from the xbox controller. You have no idea what you're talking about.

@grenadehh @WingChopMasta @mr_nee Actually PS Move copied the Wii Remote.

DS4 was not copied from the Xbox controller at all. Xbox controller copied the Dreamcast controller. The basic DualShock controller was out long before Xbox and Dreamcast.

Yeah because Sony never copied anything. Microsoft has developed all the cool technologies.Sony Online was crap until Microsoft showed what you could do.Party Chat anyone. All the cool stuff the PS4 has was just copied from Microsoft. It goes both ways so don't act like Microsoft is the only one that does it.
