In a move that echoed Sony's famous "indie 8" demonstration during E3 2013, Microsoft sent out Chris Charla, head of the ID@Xbox initiative, to introduce four key independent titles coming to the system.

First, Steve Gaynor of the acclaimed Gone Home developer Fullbright, revealed the studio's next project--Tacoma--will be a timed Xbox One exclusive.

Then Derek Bradley, of Aurora44, showed off Ashen, which appears to be a exploration survival adventure game. Following this was Sherida Halatoe, of Tiger & Squid, who revealed Beyond Eyes, which appears to resemble a watercolour version of The Unfinished Swan.

Finally, Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, of Canadian studio MDHR, revealed their idiosyncratic Xbox One exclusive Cuphead, which is set for release in 2016.
