Microsoft is mixing some of its most popular game properties with its significantly less popular Microsoft Edge browser, offering a number of custom browser themes designed around games including Halo, Sea of Thieves, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. The themes can be applied for free via the Microsoft Edge Add-on Store.

There are 21 new game-related themes to pick from, as well as one themed after Wonder Woman 1984, and a couple that tie into Microsoft 365.

The games included are Halo, Sea of Thieves, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Forza Horizon 4, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Gears Of War, and Grounded, with some incorporating new artworks from featured artists. Have a look at the different themes in the gallery below.

As reported by The Verge, the new themes are accompanied by a number of updates to Edge's functionality. A new sleeping tabs feature improves browser performance by freeing up system resources from inactive tabs, helping the system run better even when you have way too many tabs open.

Microsoft is also expanding on Edge's new password manager system, with Edge now suggesting a secure password whenever you need to enter a new password. A new Password Monitor system is also in the process of rolling out, which will scan the internet for password leaks and notify you if your password has been compromised.
