Microsoft demos Xbox One boot-up via Kinect
Larry "Major Nelson" demonstrates powering on next-gen console using voice commands; "It happens faster than it takes to find your controller."

While in standby mode, the Xbox One will boot up via Kinect voice command, sign users in through facial recognition, and arrive at the dashboard in about 13 seconds, Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb demonstrates in a new Instagram video.
The video cuts out before it can be determined if Major Nelson is connected to Xbox Live, which may take additional time. Whatever the case, Major Nelson boasts that booting up the Xbox One from standby mode "happens faster than it takes to find your controller."
It is unclear how long it will take for the Xbox One to boot up from a completely off state.
The Xbox One launches publicly on November 22 in 13 territories across the world. GameSpot will have more coverage on the next-generation system in the days leading up to launch.
