Microsoft announces its free Games with Gold downloads for November

They had about 1/100th of that earlier this year, and the online "Paywall" experience at that point was still far more solid than PSN.

XBL does not get hacked, ceding thousands of identities and CC #s to identity thieves, then stay down for over a month while they send their employees to night school to figure out how to begin fixing it. XBL also does not give away crap games as an apology to the people they deprived of money, and the people whose lives they may potentially have dicked with by sacrificing their identities. I was there, I saw the games they offered as an apology, it was pathetic.

On top of that, XBL match-making is rock solid. The only trouble you will ever have in a game is if a game sucks and no one plays it, or you're behind the curve and don't play it while everyone else still is.

XBL Marketplace/Games Store also does not have problems unless you cause them with your bad network. It doesn't download corrupt data on a regular basis to your box, does not make you jump through multiple hoops to purchase content like PSN does, and has sales that are comparable to PS+.

"Free" games that you rent on a permanent basis do not make up for non-existent security, terrible performance that wasn't fixed until mid-2013, horrible match-making, horrible connection quality itself, poor lack of third party integration, and an absolute lack of an actual service.

So yea, in "Free" games, PS+ crushes XBL. In everything else, no, not by a long shot.

@RedWave247 @speedfreak48t5p Steel Battalion was made by Capcom, and it wasn't on any list for Worst Game of the Year. You may be thinking of the Kinect game, which sucks.

It also came out 11 years ago and it doesn't matter.

It had an asinine failure of a cockpit controller that tried to do what the Virtual World/Tesla Battletech pods did, and failed horribly - that was the only real hooplah about the game.
