Micro Machines coming to the PS2 and Xbox

Infogrames has announced that a new installment in the Micro Machines series is in development for the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox. The game will offer the same fast-paced top-down racing with miniature vehicles that the Micro Machines series is known for. In addition, there will be a greater selection of tracks, and they will be set in a number of different environments. Players can choose from a large selection of vehicles, as well eight characters, each with his or her own personalities and special abilities. The game will allow four players to race at one time.

The game is being developed by Infogrames' Sheffield House and is expected to ship in Europe in November. A US date has not been announced yet.
