MGM Spins Web

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer plans on developing web sites to promote MGM Interactive products.

Advertising agency Intersphere Communications has been tapped by moviemaker Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. to develop web sites promoting MGM Interactive products.

So far, MGM Interactive has released The Ultimate James Bond: An Interactive Dossier reference title and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Adventure in Tinker Town (both in 1996) and Machine Hunter (this past year).

MGM Interactive is set to distribute Silent Software/Prolific Publishing's "capture the flag" combat game Return Fire II, and the first fruits of the MGM/Intersphere partnership can be seen on the Return Fire II web site.

The RFII web site went up on Oct. 6 and right now doesn't boast much more than an opportunity to register for an e-mail alert when the game's demo is released. Intersphere plans a "modular format" for the site, with new sections and features to be added as the game gets closer to its release.
