Metro: Last Light coming to Mac, Linux

I'm glad that mainstream developers are paying more and more attention to Linux. Took awhile, but it's finally happening. Keep it up! Can't wait to afford being able to build a Linux gaming machine so that I can support ya'll with my wallet!

Curious as to how it'll play on Linux.

Amazing. The moment you guys read MAC, a battle ensued. But nothing is said about "look to making it more accessible for a broader gamer audience".

This is great for everybody. As soon as they can get this amazing engine onto linux, the better. The 4A Engine is capable of amazing things.

Is there even a iMac that is capable of running the game on more than low?

I played this game until the heavy anti communist propaganda started. That's when I realized I'm playing a very political game masked under this entertainment form of gaming. F**k this Putin loving captalist game. This is always the case when foreigners wanna impress americans and take their business to the next level. They create these stupid themes that belong in the cold war era, to appeal the american market. It is shameful to see, after giving birth to great men like Lenin, it now 2013 spits out intellectual psychopath garbage like Metro Last Light. F**k this game and its creators.

That desperate for money? Sometimes it's better to just let things be the way they are. Metro: Last Light will never be that popular, no matter how many platforms you release it on. Just a waste of time and resources.

PC is best for gaming but that's about it. I had a software engineering lab this summer and I cannot describe my absolutely loathing of Windows. Mac (and Linux) has a far superior OS.

I'm really pro linux and pro consumer, giving me options to play my game(s) on all my systems and OS's.... I'll support any company that offers this! well done deep silver

Most Mac users probably could not handle this that well, but good to hear it is coming to both linux and mac. I would love to use linux, but it just does not have the games.

My question is how they're going to pull off the Mac version. I use both Windows and Mac, both on the same MacBook Pro (2.2GHz i7, 8GB DDR3, 750GB 5400RPM (250 for Windows, rest for Mac), Radeon HD 6750M 1GB), and stuff looks fantastic on the Windows partition, but if I put it on Mac, depending on the game, it'll either run the same (a good port) or complete ass (slapping WINE on it or just sucking at coding).

Yes, soon the PC gaming master race will evolve into the Linux gaming super master race! (ubermensch)

... and the Mac gamers are the subhuman untermensch!

Linux is the future , more devs need to realize that .

Whatever they add to make it more accesible in future iterations, please, make it optional or don't let it ruin the marvelous Single Player quality you pulled some times times now.

Linux support is great and I will probably buy it even though I am not a big fan of FPS' but I loved the original Metro. Since Steam was released, the number of available games have multiplied so we have to thank Valve for this as well.

Mac and also Linux are looking better and better as alternatives to Windows gaming as time goes by.

Also, I see that the Deep Silver are deep into that whole "making it more accessible for a broader gamer audience" mentality, which hopefully doesn't ruin anything, although it's always worrying when a company says that.

I always welcome news regarding the development of games for Mac and Linux systems :). Great to hear these two operating systems are getting this game.

I never beat it. Great game and was very unsettling. A fantastic dark world. I hope they don't ruin the franchise by trying to make it more 'accessible'. More than likely they will force 4A to add a multiplayer instead of making a great one player experience.

Well, now there is no excuse to own a linux based pc.

If it's easy enough to get up and running under Linux I'd give it a shot. I'm trying to work with Linux more but it's obnoxiously difficult when I can't game on it. I can't justify switching OSes every time I want to play a game.

One of my favorite franchises coming to Linux, is great news. Wish some other developers would take this step and start porting their stuff to Linux, I'm looking at Borderlands and Fallout specifically. :]

Great news for all the Mac users out there (and Linux). Personally, I do have a Mac, but I barely use it. My gaming PC is my main rig, but not everyone does have a gaming Windows-machine, so it's good to hear that they'll be able to play this great game too.

Such a great game, the graphics and atmosphere were one of the best i've seen.

I wish if there were more FPS games like this, not military shooters and other crap.
