TOKYO--Metal Gear Solid fans will have something to look forward to every day from now on, as series director Hideo Kojima has launched an official blog. However, English speakers are out of luck, as Kojima's blog is in Japanese only.

Located on the official Web site for his studio, Kojima Productions, the blog lists the director's day-to-day activities as well as some behind-the-scenes tidbits about the Metal Gear Solid series. For example, a September 25 entry revealed that Kojima used the American band Starsailor in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater after mistaking it for Stellastarr, a pop band based in New York City.

For the latest on Kojima in English, check out GameSpot's coverage of the 2005 Tokyo Game Show, which includes an eyewitness account of the real-time demo of Metal Gear Solid 4.
