Metal Gear Solid Comes to the Nintendo 64
Konami's modern platform update to the popular NES series Metal Gear is coming to the Nintendo 64.
Konami insiders have informed GS News that Konami's modern platform update to the popular NES series Metal Gear will be coming to the Nintendo 64 console system, though originally planned solely for the PlayStation.
The game sees the player once again as secret agent Solid Snake, but this time in an entirely different type of gameplay. Visually, Metal Gear Solid takes all of the elements that made Resident Evil successful and adds considerable depth of gameplay and fully polygonal artwork to them, including moving 3-D backgrounds. The difference between Resident Evil's animation and Metal Gear Solid's animation is breathtaking, from what we've seen so far. The game has been in development for two full years.
For more information, be sure to look up the full VGS preview and three movies of the game, and over the next few days look to our E3 News site, where we'll be reporting live from the E3 show floor.
