Hideo Kojima's latest opus is currently available on the European PlayStation Store for £29.99, which is a saving of 50 percent.

Also available as part of this promotion is Run All Night, a film starring Liam Neeson, which can be rented for £4.49 or purchased for £6.99. These prices are valid from December 1 until 12 AM (UK time) on December 3.

Konami's latest earnings report, as reported on October 30, revealed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain shipped 5 million units worldwide since its release on September 1. This figure combines physical and digital sales.

By comparison, 2014's Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has shipped more than 1 million copies, bringing the two-game total to at least 6 million.

The Phantom Pain received critical acclaim upon release, including a 10/10 score from GameSpot.

Following the release, series creator Hideo Kojima reportedly exited the company on October 8. Konami, however, claimed the veteran game designer is only on vacation.
