Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes getting PlayStation-exclusive content
Tweet from Hideo Kojima reveals PlayStation versions of upcoming game will receive unspecified exclusive content.
The PlayStation versions of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, a prequel to The Phantom Pain, will receive exclusive content, it has been revealed. Series creator Hideo Kojima tweeted an image today (below) that states the game will have "exclusive content on PlayStation platforms."
In this case, those platforms would be PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
The image also states that Ground Zeroes will feature multiple missions in addition to side-ops secondary missions. Konami has not announced exclusive content for Ground Zeroes or any details on secondary missions for the game.
Ground Zeroes will be released on current- and next-generation consoles for $30 in spring 2014. No release date has been announced for The Phantom Pain.
A Konami representative was not immediately available to comment on the PlayStation-exclusive content for Ground Zeroes.
The game runs on the Fox Engine and features a day/night cycle, as well as dynamic weather conditions that affect gameplay. Missions are designed to help players understand the game's new control and gameplay mechanics.
