Metal Gear Solid 2 limited-edition package announced

GameSpot has learned that Konami will release an official limited-edition package for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for the Japanese PlayStation 2. The package will include a 72-page book, a DVD premium disc containing footage of the game's development, and a Solid Snake metallic action figure. The DVD-ROM will be housed in a reversible double-sided sleeve. The limited-edition package will be released on November 29 for 9,800 yen (about $83) in Japan.

When contacted for comment, a Konami of America representative said that the company is not sure whether it will release a similar package in North America. However, according to sources, that possibility remains unlikely at this time.
