Metal Gear Rising confirmed for PC

Hideo Kojima reveals Revengeance coming to the PC, though release date, features are unknown.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is coming to the PC, series creator Hideo Kojima announced during a recent podcast (via Joystiq).

News of the port was later confirmed by Platinum Games creative producer Jean Pierre Kellams over Twitter.

No further information about the PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was divulged and a Konami representative was not immediately available to comment.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance launched for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in February. Developer Platinum Games previously stated that it is interested in making games for the PC and publishing them through Valve's Steam downloadable games service.

finally some great news for PC fans! Slicing and Dicing on PC in high fidelity will be great! And most of all finally a Metal Gear game on PC after a very very very long time! Thank you Kojima you delight Me! Hope You do the same for upcoming Metal Gear Titles! An announcement at E3 that Metal gear solid V is coming to PC also will be most welcome!

@Gravity_Slave A very large majority of games are released on PC as well. You just wouldn't know it because you don't know anything about computer gaming. Maybe people are excited because they can play a great game without being forced to play an inferior version with lower framerates and worse graphics.

@edinko @Gravity_Slave I have a Xbox 360 and I decided to skip it after playing the demo but I will definitely get it for the PC, just like DmC which is way better on the PC. I played the Xbox demo and thought to myself how sad it is that they wont release MGSR on the PC on higher framerates and resolution as it has a very fast pace and fun gameplay. And for the real fun part... not only are PC games cheaper but they also offer the better experience most of the time, trust me.

Good to hear it. Steam is like the most advanced platform on PC right now, with leading tech, innovative features, & millions of active users. If the game is good, it will potentially go viral on the network. I personally have made a few recommendations for games that I found to be very good for my Steam friends to see, using the built in tool.

@isaacyassar and don't forget about steam sales. So much money saved. I haven't spend over $25 for a game since Skyrim was released and I'm backlogged with a shit ton of good stuff to play. Good old Valve, delivering solid service as always.

@yoooomannnn It isn't a made up word, it's actually a word in the English language (which is redundant in the sense that it means both). Look it up on a dictionary (web or real, both should be interesting). If I recall, revengeance is actually older English.

@blackace well I know your pain :D actually I was on the fence on getting this for the Xbox myself after I played the demo which came with the ZOE collection but for the price of 60 Euro its a no no for me, but I will get the cheaper upgraded version of Ninja Gaiden 3 instead which is pretty cool in itself and I will get the PC version of MGSR day one no matter what as I was holding out for the PC version.

@natalieyan well not in this case, initially Kojima wanted to do MGSR on his foxengine and also promised it for the PC, after they give the work on MGSR to platinum the PC version was put on ice as platinum only did console games so far and I think they even couldnt code bayonetta for the PS3 proper, seriously. I think Kojima just wants to keep his word and probably will hire a third party to port the game to the PC.

Awesome, im happy about this news...I hope Kojima would think about optimizing it on PC...dont go wild and ask for ultra-high specs pls...Im a huge fan of action-adventure, ninja theory etc but my PC specs arent that HIGH :(....but lets hear it for the best :D Dmc Devil may cry and DMC 4 Capcom, Konami i can run them on ultra high specs...:D SO MAKE ME HAPPIER :X

@Kickable me neither :/ I finally decided to get a Xbox 360 for Halo 3 since I am a big fan of Halo 1-2 on the PC and hell its awesome but I wont get the PS3 just for Metal gear 4 alone, I am happy the MG collection was released on the 360 as well thou since its a great port and MGS3 is a masterpiece in its own :D
