As part of its pre-E3 press conference, Konami has announced plans to produce a sequel to the PSP game Metal Gear Acid. Metal Gear Acid 2 will contain much of the same type of card battling and stealth tactics.

Metal Gear Acid 2 will introduce new types of cards to employ. Additionally, the user interface will be revamped with an emphasis on making the control more comfortable and the gameplay a little quicker. The game will also take on a cel-shaded look this time around, as the team hopes to deliver a more comic book-like design in the game. The team is now part of Kojima Productions, the new internal studio headed by Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima. Kojima's studio is also currently working on Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PlayStation 3 and Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence for the PlayStation 2.

Specifics about Acid 2's gameplay are scarce at this point, though we did notice that Revolver Ocelet will make an appearance this time around. No release information on Metal Gear Acid 2 has been announced at this time.
